TRIVIUM: Video For Cover Of SEPULTURA's 'Slave New World' Posted Online
May 21, 2010Florida-based metallers TRIVIUM have posted a video for their cover version of the SEPULTURA classic "Slave New World".
Commented TRIVIUM bassist Paolo Gregoletto: "I have tried to make it a habit to film everything and anything we do, even setting up a tripod on stage to capture shows.
"Halfway into the Soundwave [festival tour] in Australia, we already had hours of footage on a hard drive and we had a few days off, so I figured I would put a little video together on iMovie.
"This was initially going to be just a quick-update video, but after a few hours it started looking pretty good so I just went and made a video for the full song.
"This is about as DIY as a music video could be; all I had at my disposal was my Samsung camera and my laptop.
"I asked some of the crew guys to pick up the camera whenever they wanted while we were playing and film anything that looked cool, whether it was us or the crowd.
"So much thanks to Ken Andrews (guitar tech) and Matt Kuney (tour manager) for the help getting all the great footage of the tour."
TRIVIUM is hard at work on its fourth studio album for an early 2011 release via Roadrunner Records. To showcase the band's progress on the follow-up to 2008's "Shogun", the guys have posted some photos from inside the studio on their official web site.
Inspired by the God Of War series, TRIVIUM's new song, "Shattering the Skies Above", appears on the extended play (EP) soundtrack for the highly anticipated PlayStation3 (PS3) exclusive videogame "God of War III". The EP, titled "God of War: Blood & Metal", was made available on March 2 via Roadrunner as part of the "God of War III Ultimate Edition", and features five exclusive unreleased songs from Roadrunner artists, including KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, DREAM THEATER, OPETH and TAKING DAWN.
