UFO: Essen Show Cancelled

Legendary hard rockers UFO have been forced to cancel their previously announced November 6, 2007 concert in Essen, Germany "due to the illness of the promoter who is currently in hospital." According to a statement released by the band, "this cancellation only affects the Essen show — the rest of the tour, which includes shows in Germany and Russia as well as the Hard Rock Hell festival in England on the weekend of November 9-11, is going ahead as planned."

UFO's latest album, "The Monkey Puzzle", came out in September 2006 via SPV Records. The follow-up to 2004's "You Are Here" was recorded at Area 51 Studios with producer Tommy Newton, who also worked with the band on their last CD and who recorded the material for the band's "Showtime" live album.
