UNEARTHLY TRANCE Sign With RELAPSE RECORDS

Relapse Records has announced the signing of cult New York metal band UNEARTHLY TRANCE. UNEARTHLY TRANCE are currently completing the writing process for what will become their third album and Relapse debut. Guitarist/vocalist Ryan Lipynsky (who is also the mastermind behind Profound Lore Records artist THRALLDOM) comments, "We have titled this album 'The Trident' to reflect it being our third album, the occult power behind our band which happens to be a three piece, our logo and lyrical direction. We've kicked into the next gear and we are ready to kill." A spring 2006 release is expected.

UNEARTHLY TRANCE has become a staple in the international underground scene on the strength of their devastating live shows. The band has played with bands as diverse as PELICAN, SUNN0))), MORBID ANGEL, COMETS ON FIRE and FLOOR. UNEARTHLY TRANCE have previously released two full-length albums on Lee Dorrian's (CATHEDRAL, NAPALM DEATH) Rise Above Records as well as material on Southern Lord.
