UNITED GUTTURAL And DEATHGASM RECORDS Separate

July 11, 2007

As of March 15, 2007, Deathgasm Records and United Guttural Records have separated.

Evan March and Alex Cox, owners of Deathgasm and United Guttural, decided to separate the two companies and operate independently.

As the sole owner of Deathgasm, March said he will continue to press forward with the company to release and promote extreme underground music.

Former Deathgasm co-owner Cox said he will return United Guttural to its former status as one of the leading brutal death metal labels in the USA.

Cox and March formed Deathgasm over 10 years ago and since then have released over 40 albums, opened an exclusive metal store, published a magazine series, and ran a successful online store / mail order catalog.

In 2005 Rich Lipscomb of FLESHGRIND sold United Guttural to Deathgasm Records.
