VENGEFUL Announces New Bassist

March 17, 2010

Montreal, Quebec, Canada-based band VENGEFUL has announced the addition of bassist Dominic "Forest" Lapointe (ATHERETIC, BARF, QUO VADIS, AUGURY) to the group's ranks. The band states, "We just wrote our first song together and things are sounding a bit more chaotic as we never had a bass player in the room while putting new stuff together.

"We'll be hitting the stage with the new lineup soon to get the chemistry flowing a bit more before we finish composing this monster of an album we're working on."

VENGEFUL 2010 is:

Marc-André Grenier - Vocals
Jean-Marie Leblanc - Guitar/Back Vocals
Emmanuel Pronovost - Guitar/Back Vocals
Dominic Lapointe - Bass
Philip Truesdell - Drums

VENGEFUL's second full-length album, "The Omnipresent Curse", was released last August. The cover artwork was once again painted by Martin Lacroix (AUGURY, HUMANOID).

VENGEFUL's debut album, "Karma", was released in 2007 via Disconcert Music.

According to a press release, VENGEFUL "plays death metal that is fuelled by pure hatred and deep anger, accompanied by a firm sense of song structure and dynamic. . . Their music shows influences from pioneers such as GORGUTS, IMMOLATION, NILE and CRYPTOPSY."
