VIOLENT STORM To Support HEAVEN AND HELL In Denmark

March 18, 2007

VIOLENT STORM, the new band formed by ex-YNGWIE MALMSTEEN/BLACKMORE'S NIGHT bassist Mick Cervino, will support HEAVEN AND HELL on June 6 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

VIOLENT STORM's latest album, "Storm Warning" was produced by JUDAS PRIEST guitarist K.K. Downing (his first production credit outside of PRIEST),and features guest appearances by Downing, Malmsteen and Roy Z (HALFORD, BRUCE DICKINSON). A recent interview with Downing conducted by "Pandora's Rock Box" for U.K.'s Radio Caroline station about about his involvement with VIOLENT STORM is available for download in MP3 format at this location.

VIOLENT STORM recently announced that Martin Mickels will be joining the band when they tour in 2007. Martin, currently the lead guitarist with Gary Barden's band STATETROOPER, will be playing the parts performed on the album by rock luminaries Yngwie Malmsteen and Downing. Mickels is no stranger to stepping into the shoes of guitar gods — in STATETROOPER he replaced Brian Robertson (ex-THIN LIZZY, MOTÖRHEAD),and regularly plays the guitar parts co-written and performed by Michael Schenker for the MSG tracks performed by STATETROOPER.
