WHITESNAKE Frontman Ends Denver Concert After Only Four Songs
August 12, 2009Cinnamon Miller of Examiner.com reports that WHITESNAKE frontman David Coverdale ended the band's concert last night (Tuesday, August 11) at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado after only four songs, claiming that he felt he wasn't quite over his laryngitis he had been suffering from and that could sing no longer.
With a heart-wrenching apology, Coverdale left the stage. "I'm sorry, I tried, I just can't do it," he stated .
At the end of the performance last night, "inside sources" allegedly told Examiner.com that Coverdale had canceled the rest of the tour with JUDAS PRIEST and supporting band POP EVIL due to his illness. However, this information has not yet been corroborated by an official WHITESNAKE representative and should be treated as a rumor only.
On August 7, WHITESNAKE had canceled the performance in Phoenix, Arizona at the Dodge Theatre due to Coverdale's battle with laryngtis.
