Virginia-based metalcore act WINTER SOLSTICE have signed a deal with Metal Blade Records. The band's most recent EP was recorded at Cloud City Studios (THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, WALLS OF JERICHO) by Mike Hasty of WALLS OF JERICHO in January 2004. The band will head back to Cloud City Studios in Detroit, MI in October to start recording their debut full-length release that will be out on Metal Blade Records in the winter of 2005.

Commented WINTER SOLSTICE drummer Duke Cuneo: "We are very excited to be with Metal Blade. It's exactly where we wanted to be. We are glad to be a part of a label with such great bands on their roster."

Added Metal Blade Records Inc. Owner and CEO Brian Slagel: "It's great to have the WINTER SOLSTICE guys as part of the Metal Blade family. They are a very hard working and talented group that have an amazing live performance and work ethic that can take them all the way."
