Y&T: Rarities Collection Due In Late November

November 2, 2003

Y&T are putting the finishing touches on their CD of previously unreleased material, titled "Unearthed", tentatively due in late November. The disc will reportedly contain unreleased Y&T cuts from the past — songs that were recorded for a particular record but never made it on vinyl or CD — including a track with unfinished lyrics that the band have re-recorded for this collection.

Y&T mainman Dave Meniketti recently posted the following message to the band's official discussion forum:

"Sorry I haven't had a chance to post in the forum lately, but I've been working solidly on this new CD release. It's about done & we're just putting the finishing touches on the artwork, stories & other tidbits of text within the booklet. When you do everything yourself, it takes a lot more time than you expected at the outset.

"The CD should be completed within a week & unfortunately will probably not be available until the end of November. We may provide pre-orders for the CD soon on the site & at the shows. Just trying to work out the specifics to make it easiest for everyone.

"It should be an exciting end to the year with the new CD & DVD being finished from the Petaluma shows, along with entering our 30th anniversary year! Can't wait to get out there & play again. Thanks for keeping the fires burning."
