January 5, 2016In the latest episode of Louder Noise's "Rock Ink", vocalist Joakim Brodén of Swedish metallers SABATON talks about his tattoos, which were mostly done freehand by one of his good friends.
SABATON recorded its concerts at the Wacken Open Air festival in Germany and at their hometown festival Sabaton Open Air in Falun for an upcoming live DVD/CD package called "Heroes On Tour". Due on March 4 via Nuclear Blast, the set will contain two DVDs and a CD. The second DVD will feature two switchable viewing angles: live and studio.
SABATON bassist Pär Sundström commented: "We have always aimed to be a band people love to see live, for the simple reason we love to play live. With this DVD/Blu-ray release, we hope to share some of that feeling with you. We recorded two shows in case one is not enough for you!"
SABATON released a special, three-disc limited-edition deluxe version of its 2014 album, "Heroes", in the U.S. and Canada on April 7, 2015 via Nuclear Blast.
Limited to 5,000 copies, this deluxe edition includes two discs of live audio recorded on the 2014 Sabaton Cruise in addition to the original ten "Heroes" album tracks.
