ACUMEN NATION Sign With CRASH MUSIC

July 7, 2006

Industrial-rock pioneers ACUMEN NATION have finalized a multi-album deal with Crash Music, Inc. The band's recently completed new album, entitled "Anticore", is scheduled for release on September 19.

The new ACUMEN NATION sound could easily be described as "hardcore tech-metal, finding companionship with the likes of POISON THE WELL and LAMB OF GOD as well as FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY," according to a press release. "Faster and heavier than anything the quartet has released before, "Anticore" retains their signature sound of complex minor chord melodies and harsh, intelligent programming while upping the tempo and attacking with cynical and emotional lyrics and hard driving guitars. The album also features Lucia from KMFDM lending her vocal talent to the track "My Life's Last Breath".

The band had this to say about their new label home: "We are all psyched about signing to Crash. We spent three years recording and producing this album and the end result was the heaviest record we have ever made. We knew we had to find someone dedicated to the metal audience in order for it to be appreciated and Crash is exactly the kind of label we wanted to work with."

In turn, Crash Music, Inc. could not be happier with the deal. Crash Music, Inc. President Mark Nawara says: "We are all thrilled with signing ACUMEN NATION to the label! Everyone is really happy with how the album turned out, it is a lot heavier than the group¹s previous efforts and we cannot wait to bring it to the metal and industrial masses!"
