ANTHRAX's SCOTT IAN: You Cannot Kill What Doesn't Die

July 17, 2002

ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian has posted a message on the group's official web site in an attempt to clarify drummer Charlie Benante's previous post in which Benante revealed that the band were " once again experiencing some obstacles in getting the new record out."

"I've gotten swamped by e-mails expressing your concerns about Charlie's post," Ian wrote. "It's as simple as this, We refuse to let anything or anyone ruin what we've accomplished with We've Come For You All. As most of you know, we've been through the ringer business-wise the last two releases, and we're just not going to let it happen again. We're making sure it all gets done right. We're more anxious than you for the release of this record. Thank you for standing by us, supporting us, kicking ass for us and kicking our asses when we come to your town. To quote one of our own new songs, 'You cannot kill what doesn't die.'"
