ANVIL To Make 'Explosive' Appearance In 'The Green Hornet'
October 12, 2009More information has surfaced regarding ANVIL's movie debut in "The Green Hornet". The band, whose critically acclaimed rock documentary "Anvil: The Story Of Anvil", was finally released on DVD last week, performed one of its songs in a scene in Michel Gondry's new hero film that featured the members of the group exploding on stage at a rock club.
In an October 2 appearance on WJCU's "Metal On Metal" radio show, ANVIL guitarist/vocalist Steve "Lips" Kudlow told host Bill Peters that "The Green Hornet" would feature the band playing either the title track to its forthcoming CD, "Juggernaut Of Justice", or "Flying Blind" from the group's latest album, "This Is Thirteen".
In "The Green Hornet", based on the '30s-radio-series-turned-'60s-television-show of the same name, Seth Rogen plays Britt Reid, newspaperman by day, masked crime-fighter by night.
According to People magazine, Rogen and costar Jay Chou are currently shooting the movie — due for release early next year — in Los Angeles.
