ARCH ENEMY Frontwoman To Guest On AMASEFFER 'Trilogy'

January 11, 2007

Drummer and main songwriter Erez Yohanan of AMASEFFER — the new "holy project" from Andy Kuntz, lead singer of German progressive metal band VANDEN PLAS — has announced that ARCH ENEMY frontwoman Angela Gossow will contribute guest vocals to the AMASEFFER "trilogy" of albums recounting the story of Exodus.

"It's a long time since the vision came to my mind seeing and hearing Angela's voice on AMASEFFER's music, just like the vision I had regarding Andy Kuntz being our lead singer," Yohanan writes in a statement. "And today, after a short conversation with her and playing her the music, I got the green light from her to make the official statement that she will sing on the CD.

"It is an honor to have her singing for us and I believe that she will make the best out of it!

"As [of] today she's going through the music and the vocal lines, trying to figure the best way of making her voice fit the atmosphere of the music. It is not a big part, but still, having her singing it gives me the chills!

"I hope that in the next few weeks we will have her vocal lines done."

AMASEFFER'a trilogy of albums will be recorded in three separate sessions. The first, as-yet-untitled album is due later this year and will contain ten tracks with a running time of 74 minutes. Most of the CD is being recorded at Germany's Bazement Studios, where VANDEN PLAS' "Christ.0" album was also recorded. ORPHANED LAND singer Kobi Farhi will narrate the albums, which will feature artwork by acclaimed artist Mattias Norén (AYREON, EVERGREY).
