ARMY OF ANYONE Members Proud Of Their Pasts

Launch Radio Networks reports: As ARMY OF ANYONE gets its first tour underway in support of the band's self-titled debut album, fans coming to see the show can definitely expect to hear some old favorites as well. Bassist Robert DeLeo and guitarist Dean DeLeo co-founded STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, while singer Richard Patrick was the driving force behind FILTER. ARMY OF ANYONE is playing three songs from each group in its set, and Robert DeLeo told Launch he thinks it's the right thing to do. "You know, your initial reaction is like, 'This is a new band, we don't want to do any old stuff,'" he said. "But there's a lot of history with FILTER and STP, and I'm proud of my past, and Richard and Dean are too. And I think we are not really out to try to recreate anything, we just really want to honor our past, and the bottom line is just having fun with it."

The group, which also features ex-DAVID LEE ROTH drummer Ray Luzier, plays tomorrow night (Tuesday, November 21) in Boston.

ARMY OF ANYONE's debut disc arrived in stores last Tuesday (November 14). It features the single "Goodbye".

The band will perform tonight (Monday, November 20) on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and pay a visit to "Last Call with Carson Daly" on November 23.
