BALLISTIC Frontman To Form 'Punk' Project
December 6, 2004BALLISTIC mainman Tom Gattis (ex-DEUCE, TENSION, WARDOG) has posted the following message on the band's official web site:
"The positive: [2004] in retrospect was everything I had hoped for. Once again Europe did not fail to deliver the metal fans they are so famous for, and the fantastic people that I have come to love so much. It is looking good that I'll be at Bang Your Head 2005 for the ten-year show. There has been some talk as well of a TENSION reunion. This would be tough to work but not impossible, we’ll see.
"I am going to be starting up a project for gigs in the Phoenix area. We are going to be doing some old punk (and crossover stuff like ’76-78-era DEAD BOYS, DAMNED, CLASH, DICTATORS, MOTÖRHEAD) and possibly some original stuff. I've got some killer psychos who are into this, and this should be a drunken blast.
"It is also very gratifying for my back catalog to be taking off. They were tough years but this certainly helps.
"The negative: A mini-stroke. Joe Gibbs."
BALLISTIC, who recently announced the addition of singer Tony Taylor (TWISTED TOWER DIRE, ISEN TORR, OCTOBER 31) to the group's ranks, are working on the material for their second album, tentatively due next year.
