BLEEDING THROUGH Reveal 'The Truth' About Fur In New PETA2 Ad

September 7, 2005

Fresh from this summer's Warped Tour, and with their legions of fans counting the days until their new album, "The Truth" (Trustkill Records),drops on October 10, members of Orange County, California-based BLEEDING THROUGH recently teamed up with peta2 to create a stunning anti-fur public service announcement (PSA). In the PSA, the band appears next to the tagline "Bleeding Through Knows The Truth About Fur" and a description of how animals killed for fur are trapped, drowned, and beaten to death in the wild and strangled, gassed, or electrocuted on fur farms.

BLEEDING THROUGH's keyboardist Marta also sat down with peta2 for an exclusive interview. "I visited a mink farm when I was probably like 13 or 14 as a school field trip, and it was disgusting," recalls Marta, who joined the band two years ago. "That probably made me vegetarian. It smelled bad. Even touching real fur when I'm going to buy clothes kind of gives me the shivers."

Visitors to peta2.com can enter to win BLEEDING THROUGH merchandise, view Marta's interview, and see the band's PSA. Also featured on peta2.com are celebrity interviews, message boards, merchandise, downloadable voice-mail recordings, and chances to win great prizes like free concert tickets, iPods, and more.
