BLOOD DUSTER 'Almost Finished' Writing New Album

February 21, 2006

Australian act BLOOD DUSTER — who are described as blending lethal grindcore with traditional '70s-style Southern rock and rockabilly rhythms spiced up with a large dose of grossed-out humor — have almost finished writing the material for their upcoming album and "are all really happy with the direction it is taking," according to a posting on the band's web site. "I can't say too much at this point but I can say that everyone will be a little suprised," bassist Jason (PC) Fuller writes. "There will be something for everyone. We will start recording the album in early May, so it looks like a late June/early July release for this album. We will be recording the entire thing ourselves and possibly filming the whole process to show how it was done. No title as yet... Here is a rough demo [mp3] of one of the grind songs just to prove we have started work. I said it was rough... This track was recorded in the rehersal room with guitars added a few days later. No vocals on it, but I thought I should give you something...."

In other news, BLOOD DUSTER are also planning on releasing a a brand new 7" before the album comes out with only country songs. "This will be a limited-edition [release] featuring at least one exclusive track that will not be available anywhere else," Jason writes. "The label that will release this is called Goryfied. Really looking forward to this as it will give me something to make my parents proud..." More information is available at www.goryfied.com.
