BUCKCHERRY Getting Ready To Hit Studio

April 7, 2008

The Pulse of Radio reports that BUCKCHERRY is hard at work on material for its fourth album, the follow-up to its platinum 2006 comeback effort, "15". That CD marked a big turnaround from the disappointing sales of the previous BUCKCHERRY release, 2001's "Time Bomb". The group plans to enter the studio in May to begin recording, and singer Josh Todd gave The Pulse of Radio an update on exactly where things stand. "We're finishing up the songwriting, we're at the hardest point," he said. "We've got a lot of songs in the can, the record is great, and we just want it to be that much better. 'Cause to us, it's the sophomore slump all over again. We've had this, now we've had this record that biggest record of our career, and now we've got to follow it up, and it's not easy."

BUCKCHERRY played its 300th show in support of "15" last December 15 at the House of Blues in Las Vegas. The show capped a remarkable return for the group, which was all but defunct six years ago.

"15" has spent nearly two years on the Billboard album chart, selling more than a million copies and spawning five singles, including "Crazy Bitch", "Everything", "Broken Glass", "Next 2 You" and "Sorry".

The ringtone for "Crazy Bitch" is the only one in history to spend a full year in the Nielsen Ringscan Top 30, with more than 1.2 million sold.

BUCKCHERRY has yet to announce a tentative release date or tour plans for its upcoming album, but the band is rumored to be involved with the mysterious "colossal announcement" that MTLEY CRE is making on April 15.
