CHEVELLE Recording New Album
February 17, 2009Chicago-based hard rock band CHEVELLE has issued the following update:
"For the last six months we have been writing and working on our new record, and finally we are at the recording stage. We are out in Nashville working with Brian Virtue in his personal studio. The weather is great and it's an environment conducive to writing and working. We have spent a lot of time making these songs something different from past records without losing the core of our passion. We are a hard rock, melodic band and it's still what drives us as musicians. We have also started to book a tour in the U.S. (Europe coming later in the year) and are working on a package of bands we would like to play with."
CHEVELLE released its fourth major label album, called "Vena Sera", in April 2007. The first single from "Vena Sera" was called "Well Enough Alone". The band teamed with famed horror director Wes Craven for a contest in which fans could create their own video for the song. The winning clip was chosen by Craven.
CHEVELLE originally comprised three brothers: Pete (lead vocals, guitar),Sam (drums, percussion),and Joe Loeffler (bass, vocals). Joe left the band in 2005 and was replaced by Dean Bernardini.
Since its formation, CHEVELLE has released four studio albums, one live album, and one DVD.
