CHEVELLE Sidelined By Hand Injury

May 23, 2006

Launch Radio Networks reports: CHEVELLE bassist Dean Bernardini has injured his left hand, forcing the band to pull out of several of its upcoming dates with NICKELBACK and HOOBASTANK. The trio will miss a late June show and all of its July gigs, returning to the tour on August 9 in Denver, Colorado. Drummer Sam Loeffler wrote at the band's official website, "Dean cut up his fingers on his left hand. As a punishment, we made him get stitches without any painkillers at all. We also had the doctor berate him as he stitched him together. This isn't his first time taking on serious pain though. I found out that he once had a root canal without Novocaine just to prove his manliness."

On a brighter note, Loeffler added that the group has six new songs nearly completed for its next album, which it hopes to record and release before the end of the year.

Canceled CHEVELLE tour dates:

Jun. 30 - Cincinnati, OH - Bank Arena
Jul. 02 - Indianapolis, IN - Conseco Fieldhouse
Jul. 05 - Milwaukee, WI - Marcus Amphitheater (Milwaukee Summerfest)
Jul. 08 - Buffalo, NY - HSBC Arena
