CHILDREN OF BODOM: New Album Due In September

March 17, 2005

According to the CHILDREN OF BODOM fan site Scythes-Of-Bodom.com, Spinefarm Records has pushed back the projected release date of the new CHILDREN OF BODOM album to September 21.

As previously reported, the album will be recorded in April-May in a studio in Helsinki with Mikko Karmila recording and mixing. However, the producer for the projected hasn't been announced yet. The plan is for the group to include the title track of their recent EP, "Trashed, Lost & Strungout", on the new album, albeit possibly in re-recorded form, since the original version was recorded at Astia Studio, which won't be the case with the rest of the album. (It wouldn't be the first time the band have done this, since "Hate Me!" was also recorded during both the single session in Astia and the "Follow the Reaper" session at Abyss studios.)

In other news, CHILDREN OF BODOM guitarist/vocalist Alexi Laiho's punk side-project KYLÄHULLUT have posted a video for their song "Kääpiöt" ("Midgets") on their record label's website. It's actually just a simple animation video done by the singer Vesku Jokinen, who did similar videos before for his main band KLAMYDIA. Check it out at this location.
