CRADLE OF FILTH Bassist Checks In From California
February 21, 2007CRADLE OF FILTH bassist Dave Pybus has posted the following North American tour update from the February 19 stop at the House Of Blues in Anaheim, California.
"The venue is buried inside the hive of scum and villainly otherwise referred to as Disneyland. Went for a short walk about after lunch and got pics with some rather insistant fans outside. Met Nick from 3 INCHES OF BLOOD and got a very large and expensive beer in the ESPN bar as we waited for his other band members to get in. Got back to the venue a while later and did the daily chores of signing and soundcheck. Things seem easier these days and everyone is quite chilled. Time seems to go faster because of the attitude we have. No point in fighting everything. Just work hard and try enjoy it. For most people this life seems like a dream come true, right? This has to be one of the best tours I've ever done, on a personal level. I knew I would enjoy being back over here, for whatever reasons, and the time has simply flown by. Same with tonight's show. No major problems bar Sarah [female vocals] being ill and having to struggle through the set. By the time we realize what's going on, its the encore and the show is almost over. The crowd were great and Dani dedicated a song to Cat, whose birthday it is today. After the show we had to pack down and get out by 1:30 a.m. so not much partying tonight. Tomorrow we will drive most of the way across desert towards El Paso. See you all in San Antonio."
