DOGPOUND Announce New Album Title

January 12, 2005

Swedish hard rockers DOGPOUND have set "A Night In The Gutter" as the title of their sophomore album. The follow-up to 2003's "The Hellbum" is tentatively due in April/May via Lion Music.

With regards to the band's musical direction, the band had previously told Norway's Metal Express, "We want it to be heavy and rough. We like music from the ’80s, you know, LYNCH MOB, ELECTRIC BOYS, W.A.S.P., WARRANT, EUROPE, all different kinds of styles. So when we 'created' the DOGPOUND sound, we took the best from the best. We never wanted to sound like another band, we just let us be influenced by the stuff we like, then we make something that feels good to us. Something that comes from inside of us."

DOGPOUND's cover of GARY MOORE's "Led Clones", featuring a guest appearance on vocals by Peter Tägtgren (HYPOCRISY, PAIN),was included on the Lion Music compilation "Give Us Moore".
