FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH Frontman Featured On iTunes Audio Book Of 'Dolor: Lila - Book I'

March 14, 2011

Author Rick Florino will release the latest installment in the "Dolor" mystery/horror novella series — "Dolor Saga: Books I-V" — May 5 via New American Deities. The "Dolor Saga" will be available for only $6.66 at BookOfDolor.com and features the first five of the ten-book series ("Lila", "Chrissy", "Arielle", "Decker", "Cassie"),including the previously unreleased "Decker" and "Cassie".

In celebration of the "Dolor Saga" release, Florino will read selections from the book Tuesday, March 22 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at The Hollywood Corner in Los Angeles (1156 N. Highland Ave.).

Florino — author of "Dolor: Lila - Book I", "Dolor: Chrissy - Book II", "Do The Devil's Work For Him", founder of Ruin magazine and editor-in-chief of ARTISTdirect.com —-explains the inspiration for combining the first five books into the "Dolor Saga":

"This new release finally fleshes out the intricacies and mythology of the town itself. The connections between each individual diary become clearer and the web of intrigue at the heart of 'Dolor' slowly comes into focus. The characters cycle in and out, but the darkness, fear, anxiety, and evil all remain key elements in each story. Psychologically, 'Dolor' exists in the space between the heinous things people do in real life and the unknown evil we fear in nightmares and that may or may not exist. The text is streamlined. Certain nuances have been changed, so 'Dolor' readers will get a new experience in Books I-III in addition to two new books. This is the trip that I always meant for 'Dolor' to be, and it's only the beginning."

In addition, Rick Florino has partnered with one of hard rock and heavy metal's most powerful, poetic, and pummeling voices, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's Ivan Moody, for an iTunes audio book of "Dolor: Lila - Book I". Known for his vocals on FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's modern classic albums "War is the Answer" and "The Way of the Fist", featuring the smash hit singles "The Bleeding", "Bad Company" and "Far From Home", Moody is adding his own unique spin to this intense, intriguing, and unforgettable audio book.

"I'm beyond honored to be collaborating with Ivan," says Florino. "He's one of the brightest, most brilliant, and best singers the genre's ever seen and he's adding his own spin to 'Dolor'. You'll need to hear this."
