Former AMORPHIS Singer Officially Joins MANNHAI

May 30, 2005

Former AMORPHIS and current AJATTARA singer Pasi Koskinen has officially joined MANNHAI as the group's new vocalist. "This was a collective decision, and it has been clear for us since we hit the stage together for the first time in Berlin last April," MANNHAI write on their web site. "A natural solution, and even obvious, but it's something we should have already done eight months ago, after playing the last gigs with Joañitor. We will now start to rehearse and compose, and prepare ourselves to enter the studio late summer. The result shall be MANNHAI's next album, which will hopefully be released in spring '06. We'd also like to thank all the other vocalist candidates, as there were some damn fine shouters among those guys too. The sheet is blank now, and the table is all clean, but we'll mess it up in a big way again!"

MANNHAI's third album, "The Exploder", was released in April 2004 through Ranch Records. The follow-up to 2002's "Evil Under the Sun" was mixed at Soundtracks studio in Helsinki with producer Jürgen Hendlmeier (FLAMING SIDEBURNS, MUTANTS) and was mastered by Björn Engelmann at the Cutting Room in Stockholm.
