Former STRYPER Drummer Gets BLISSED
April 24, 2002Former STRYPER drummer Robert Sweet has teamed up with David Pearson and Trevor Barr from the group STATIC (not to be confused with STATIC-X) to form a brand new project called BLISSED. According to Sweet, it's been quite a while since I've felt this good about a group effort musically, and this feels great. If you weren't into STRYPER you'll like this, and if you were into STRYPER, you'll like it all the more. I'm heavily into what is heavy and this is. I can't wait to swing my sticks in front of you with this stuff. I'm real excited, you might say I'm blissed.
BLISSED are due to finish recording their debut album in May, and they will be making their first live performance in Southern California at the Extreme Mardi Gras in August. Robert will also be conducting several interviews in late April. On Saturday April 27th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, he will be with the band DISCIPLE on KFSG 93.5 FM in Los Angeles on Kevin Allison's The Ground Floor, which also can be heard on the web at www.thegroundfloor.org. On Saturday April 28th, Robert will be back on the Tour Bus at 7:40 PM PST or 10:40 PM EST. On Sunday, April 28th, he will be on KNAC at 9:00 AM PST, and that night he will make a guest appearance at the DISCIPLE show held in Anaheim, California.
