GAMMA RAY: Live Album Delayed
April 4, 2003GAMMA RAY have pushed back the release date of their double live album, "Skeletons In the Closet", from the end of May to August 25.
The mixing of the album is not yet complete owing to the late delivery of the unmixed audio masters from the mobile studio in Spain. The initial problems occurred during the live recording process at which, it was later discovered, the two recording machines were not linked for a large part of the show and therefore not synchronized. As well as this some of the audio files were "lost".
Subsequently, it has taken two engineers a long time to recall the "lost" files and re-align the machines so the recording machines were running in tandem and an unmixed master could be produced. Until this laborious process was complete the mixing of the album could not commence.
Rather than "rush" the mixing and deliver what the band would consider to be a sub-standard album to the fans, the decision has been made to move the release date back to allow more mixing time and so compensate for the severe technical difficulties suffered initially.
GAMMA RAY would like to apologize to their fans for the delay in the release of the album and ask for their patience and hope they can appreciate that these technical problems were not of their making.
