IRON MAIDEN Fans In Caracas Protest Lack Of Concert In Venezuela

December 19, 2007

IRON MAIDEN fans gathered outside Eventpro, the group's Latin America promoters, to protest the lack of a Venezuelan concert during the bands February/March tour around South America.

Commented the band's manager Rod Smallwood: "We do try to get to as many fans as possible but just cant fit in everything every time. We are getting to Colombia and Costa Rica on this Latin America leg of the tour for the first time ever and hopefully, as we can see how keen the fans are in Caracas, we can arrange to play there on our next visit to that part of the world. We appear to have some very loyal and proactive fans there and they definitely deserve a visit!!"

On February 5, 2008 MAIDEN will release the highly anticipated DVD of "Live after Death" and to tie in with this will play songs mainly from their classic '80s albums on this forthcoming tour. The stage production will also feature a production-based on the Egyptian-themed "Powerslave Tour" which was featured on the original 1985 video release of "Live after Death".
