'Israel Unleashed': The Best Rock And Metal From The Holy Land Due In November

October 3, 2007

The Jewish Music Group (JMG) will release the very best unsigned rock and metal bands from Israel on November 27 on one compilation CD called "Israel Unleashed: The Best Rock And Metal From The Holy Land". This project is being produced by JMG's Dean Schachtel, a long-time rock and heavy metal fan. The track listing for the effort is as follows:

02. NOBLE BRATS - "The Offer"
03. DISTORTED - "Redemption"
04. SEVEN PERCENT MIND USAGE - "Selfish"
05. CROSSFIRE - "Heartbreaker"
06. BEHIND THE SUN - "Sour Days"

While Schachtel was at Rhino Records, he co-produced the very successful "Stand Up And Shout: The Dio Anthology" along with Ronnie James Dio, Wendy Dio and David McLees. The CD features the very best from the Dio era of ELF, RAINBOW, BLACK SABBATH and of course, all the very best Dio solo tracks!

This is something totally different for JMG as for the past two years, they have been releasing CDs with both Jewish and religious content only. This past year, JMG's THE KLEZMATICS won a Grammy Award for "Best Contemporary World Music Album."

Schachtel said, "These bands from Israel are amazing! I hope that this CD brings the great music from Israel to the millions of metal and rock fans all over the world. I know the music fans will love it!"
