LINKIN PARK Singer Lines Up Performers For Tattoo Shop Anniversary

March 27, 2006

Launch Radio Networks reports: LINKIN PARK singer Chester Bennington has lined up several performers to appear at the 11th anniversary concert for his Club Tattoo shops, according to MTV.com. Bennington's bandmate Mike Shinoda will play with his rap act, FORT MINOR, and other artists scheduled to show up include STORY OF THE YEAR, DJ Z-Trip and WICKED WISDOM, the group featuring actress Jada Pinkett Smith. Bennington himself will also perform with his "fun" side band, BUCKET OF WEENIES. The event will take place on April 22 in Tempe, Arizona.

Bennington is a partner in Club Tattoo with the shop's co-owners, Sean and Thora Dowdell. Bennington explained to Launch last year why he got involved in the business. "I love tattoos, I love the whole vibe about it, I love the people and the atmosphere," he said. "It's just a really great way for me to do something else that's not just music. It's fun. I love hooking up all the boys on the tours with tattoos, and I just think it's a beautiful art form, and it's another way for me to kind of diversify myself."

Club Tattoo has three locations in the Phoenix area, two in Tempe and one in Mesa. The business has won an annual "Best Of Arizona" award five times and is internationally known.

Bennington recently became a father for the third time when his wife, Talinda, gave birth on March 16 to a boy named Tyler Lee. Bennington also has a 10-year-old son named Jaime and a 4-year-old boy named Draven from previous relationships.

LINKIN PARK is currently working on its third studio album with producer Rick Rubin.
