LIZZY BORDEN Bassist Reports On W.A.S.P. Tour

June 26, 2006

Bassist Marten Andersson (LIZZY BORDEN, STARWOOD) has issued the following update via his official web site:

"The LIZZY BORDEN/W.A.S.P. tour is over. It was a ton of fun and a big success — great turnouts everywhere. The W.A.S.P. band and crew were super-cool; it was a great match and the people loved both bands. We are looking into different touring options so keep checking the websites for the latest.

"We are starting the writing process for a new LIZZY BORDEN record in the next couple of days, we are all very excited about it. If everything goes as planned, the new CD should be in the stores by next summer.

"If you live in Los Angeles or a nearby city check out my appearance as the 'Celebrity Guest' on 'The Rustam Report'. My brother (and LIZZY BORDEN guitarist) Ira Black also came on for a surprise appearance. 'The Rustam Report' is a half-hour weekly series highlighting the latest in entertainment and local community news in Los Angeles. It also features celebrity guest interviews with various local politicians, musicians and much more.

"I was invited down to the Linda Blair fundraising event last week (thanks Denise Ames) There was tons of celebs there, such as Fritz Coleman of NBC-4 News, Duff (VELVET REVOLVER),Stephen Percy (RATT),L.A. Councilman Dennis P. Zine and many others I cant remember, but for me it was great just to come down, have a chat and support Linda in her quest to raise funds to build her rescue facility for animals. The event also launched Blair's Born Innocent: An American Crisis campaign to help end pet overpopulation and animal abuse."
