'METAL' MIKE CHLASCIAK: Part Four Of 'Thunder In The East Tour Diary' Available

September 4, 2007

Part four of guitarist "Metal" Mike Chlasciak's (HALFORD, PAINMUSEUM, SEBASTIAN BACH) "Thunder in the East Tour Diary" has been posted at JacksonGuitars.com. An excerpt follows:

"After catching some sleep during our first day off [in New Zealand], we all ventured out to check out HELLYEAH, the new band from former PANTERA drum king Vinnie Paul. HELLYEAH happened to be in town playing, which was kind of a strange coincidence. Baz [Sebastian Bach], me and the rest of Bach's band said 'hey' to the guys and proceeded to catch the show. To put it mildly, HELLYEAH tore the place down, and they certainly throw their horns up high for their beer drinking, liver-destroying brand of brutal American heavy metal. After the show, the usual debauchery took place, and I really enjoyed talking with Vinnie and the band guys. Great hosts; great band.

"On the second day, we got the news that both of our shows in Auckland were sold out. With some sleep finally behind us, we took the stage quite determined; the result was a killer and memorable show. It feels great when you travel so far and are met by great crowds. Warm crowds make us play better, and I certainly do not take them for granted. Overall, a great night that ended sometime around 8:00 in the morning, again! Slept 'til 5 p.m. the next day and took off to the venue at 6 p.m. Some stretching, some hangover cures, some press, some good food and another night at the same arena all melted into another long night of rock 'n' roll. Great show and more good times with friends."
