OZZY's Jewel Song (II)
January 8, 2003The following item was published in today's edition of the New York Daily News:
Will Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne ever get back the $15,000 worth of jewels they claim a young ICM agent absconded with at their New Year's Eve party?
We told you on Monday how the rock couple had issued a press release asserting that an unnamed agent had "crashed" their bash at the Beverly Hills Hotel and used stolen tickets to "win" the necklace and earrings in a promotional raffle for Asprey jewelers.
Yesterday a source close to the agent, whose name is Renee Tab, said she would return the jewels, even though she did nothing wrong.
ICM agency spokesman David Lux couldn't confirm that Tab, who didn't return a call, would give back the jewels. But he said the agency "is deeply disturbed by the defamatory statement issued by the Osbourne representative concerning this incident and is in the process of evaluating whether to take legal action of its own against the Osbournes. There may be improper personal motives behind these baseless accusations, which will be thoroughly investigated."
Osbourne spokeswoman Lisa Vega said the couple is having security video reviewed to see who Tab came to the party with.
"Sharon still feels violated by this," said Vega. "It would be nice for [Tab] to put an end to it."
