The long-running heavy metal band SLAYER has just released their eleventh studio album, "World Painted Blood", which is soaring up the charts. The music is traditional SLAYER, brutal, pounding metal. Drummer Dave Lombardo, who will be playing in the Game with Fame event, says, "The rhythm riffs on this one make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. It does it for me the same way those older records did." Guitarist Kerry King, also in the event, agrees, "I think it has kind of a retro vibe to it. It sounds like the stuff we wrote in the '80s." Along with vocalist Tom Araya and guitarist Jeff Hanneman, SLAYER has been playing their brand of metal to sold out crowds for over twenty years, winning two Grammy Awards, and selling millions of albums.

SLAYER and MEGADETH will join forces to co-headline "American Carnage", the most blistering, the most explosive, and the most eagerly-anticipated mega-tour of the winter — and you do not want to miss it. "American Carnage" will kick off on January 18 in Seattle, WA for a 26-date trek across North America.

If you get a chance to play with SLAYER, send an email to [email protected] with the subject "GWF — Slayer," and be sure to include your Gamertag and home town!
