R:I:P Parts Ways With Bassist, Seeks Replacement

July 27, 2006

R:I:P (RAW:INTENSE:POWER),the new German band featuring Björn Daigger (MAJESTY) and drummer Chris Merzinsky (MIDNATTSOL),has parted ways with bassist Christian Hager."Due to scheduling conflicts and musical differences, we decided to end our musical relationship," singer/guitarist Fabian Pospiech writes on the group's web site. "We wish Chris all the best with his other band KINGFISHER GOLD and hope to announce a new bassplayer soon.

"Although we're a four piece right now, the recording process for our debut album will go on. If we don't find a bass player within the next two weeks, me and Björn will handle bass duties on the CD. Other than that we are pretty psyched how things turn out. The first round of rhythm tracks is nearly done and I layed down some demo vocals over the songs. Next week we'll bring in some very cool guitar amps and recording gear to start the second round of rhythm tracks." Songtitles set to appear on the new CD include "Blink of an Eye", "Crushing the Lies", "Fade Away", "Sucking Life", "Doomsday", "From the Remains", "W.A.N.T.E.D. (…Dead or Alive!??)" and "Crawling through Broken Glass".
