RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE Axeman In 'Guitar Hero III'?

August 29, 2007

The Pulse of Radio (formerly Launch Radio Networks) reports: RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE guitarist Tom Morello will reportedly appear as a character in the upcoming video game Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. Although it's not officially confirmed, Morello's participation was apparently cited on some European promotional materials for the game which have surfaced online. The former AUDIOSLAVE axeman will portray a "boss battle rocker" along with VELVET REVOLVER's Slash and others.

In other Guitar Hero III news, ATREYU may have a yet-to-be-announced track included in the game, while PANTERA may also be represented by the song "Revolution Is My Name". Both will join a lineup that includes METALLICA, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, SMASHING PUMPKINS, MUSE, WEEZER, GUNS N' ROSES, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, VELVET REVOLVER, PEARL JAM, AFI and more.

Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock is set for an October 29 release date in North America on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii and Playstation 2 platforms.
