ROYAL ANGUISH Parts Ways With Drummer
July 16, 2007Florida-based extreme metal act ROYAL ANGUISH has parted ways with drummer Tom Klinesmith.
Explained frontman Matt Knowles: "While this was not a decision we wanted to make it had become increasingly clear that this was the decision that was the right thing for all parties involved. The band and its affiliates all unanimously agreed. As well, Tom came to the same conclusion on his own time."
Knowles added: "Tom had made some personal decisions back in December of last year that we as a band did everything in our power to accomodate, but regardless of effort it became clear that the sitaution had become a detriment to the forward progress of ROYAL ANGUISH, and we were unable to continue in this constrictive format any longer."
Continued Knowles: "We are in the midst of production for our next full length studio release and this membership change needed to happen now so that our in studio chemistry was not challenged any further. Virtually all the material is written and we are very happy with its direction. We can now fully realize its potential.
"We wish things could have worked out with Tom but it's is clear to all parties involved that this is the best thing for everyone. An announcement on our drummer plans, as well as details on our upcoming full-length, will be made in the very near future."
ROYAL ANGUISH's "A Journey Through the Shadows of Time" CD was released through Fear Dark (Holland).
