SEPULTURA To Record New Album In Rio De Janeiro
December 28, 2002SEPULTURA will travel to Rio De Janeiro, Brazil on Jan. 9, 2003 to begin recording their as-yet-untitled new album with producer Steve Evetts (SNAPCASE, EARTH CRISIS). The follow-up to last year's "Nation" will be tracked and mixed at AR Studios over a period of 4-6 weeks, and is tentatively scheduled to surface in late spring/early summer through SPV/Steamhammer in Europe, JVC in Japan, and FNM/Universal in Brazil. The group are still negotiating a North American deal following their split with Roadrunner Records earlier in the year.
SEPULTURA have just released a covers-only EP, titled "Revolusongs", in Brazil and have shot a video for their rendition of U2's "Bullet The Blue Sky" — one of the cover tracks included on the CD. "Revolusongs" is tentatively scheduled to receive a European release through SPV/Steamhammer in January/February.
