SUICIDAL TENDENCIES Singer MIKE MUIR: Post-Surgery Update

January 1, 2004

SUICIDAL TENDENCIES frontman Mike Muir has posted the following message on the group's official web site:

"We want to wish everyone a great new year, the strength and determination to fulfill your goals, and the health to be able to enjoy your accomplishments. Also, I would like to personally thank all the people that sent their well wishes, support, back injury stories and prayers while I was in the hospital. I've tried to personally write back, but I can't sit and type too long, but let it be known, it truly was/is appreciated.

"As for the surgery, unfortunately it ended up being two, as there was some hemorrhaging and a blood clot. I couldn't move my right leg after the first surgery, which was pretty scary in itself, but fortunately the second went well and both legs are moving fine now. Soon I'll start physical therapy and in awhile, hopefully I'll be as good as new (or as bad as new, depending on how you look at it, lol ).

"Obviously we had some big plans for 2004, and this is gonna change some things.
There was a South/Central American tour being set up for late February, March that had to be postponed. At this time we don't know what the touring situation will be, but hopefully by summer we will be ready to go. Also, we have not been able to get back into the STudio, so hopefully we'll be able to get back to work on and finish the [INFECTIOUS GROOVES/SUICIDAL TENDENCIES] and other projects as soon as possible.

"So things may seem a little slow now, but please be patient (I don't want to do weekly back reports) and we'll try to work around my back as best as possible.
Thanks again, STay STrong, STay Cyco.

"P.S. With the 'down time' I'm gonna try and get some more work done on Cycoville. I got a number of people that I'll be contacting when I get a lil more STrength. Be warned."
