TED NUGENT Plays Sold-Out Benefit Concert
January 16, 2005Ted Nugent jammed before a sold out crowd in Crawford, Texas Saturday night (Jan. 15),according to NBC 6 KCEN-TV. The benefit concert helped raise money to send Crawford's high school band to Washington for President Bush's inaugural parade.
They're the only Texas high school band invited to play. Nugent says helping the kids achieve their goal, is the least he could do.
"These kids, possibly not having the chance to celebrate with our neighbor, the president, would be unacceptable and I got wind of it and said, 'Gee, I'm just a guitar player, I could probably help."
More than 700 tickets were sold to the show. The Crawford band leaves for Washington on Tuesday.
