TESLA Guitarist To Donate CD Proceeds To Victims Of Hurricane Katrina

September 5, 2005

TESLA guitarist Frank Hannon has issued the following update:

"We [FRANK HANNON BAND] are planning a CD release party October 7, and have offered my new CD, 'Guitarz From Marz', for sale to our fans to buy in advance online at www.frankhannon.com as a way for our far-away fans to get the CD in advance online.

"Well, I just spent the last two weeks finishing my solo album, 'Guitarz From Marz' under the headphones in the studio and completely oblivious to what has been happening down south in New Orleans, and Mississippi. When Robbie told me about the disaster the other day, I was so busy working, it didn't even register. Needless to say, I was shocked this morning to see the images of those people, and to hear about the lack of response by our government!

"So in light of all that has happened, and of how truly blessed we are to have the opportunity to make music, our website designer, Eddie Lance, and I have decided to give $2 per every CD sold from our website during this advance purchase period (the whole month of September) to benefit the American Red Cross and their efforts to help the victims of the hurricane. It may not sound like much, but for every 1000 CDs sold, it means $2,000 to the benefit!"
