THE AGONY SCENE Sign With ROADRUNNER RECORDS

May 20, 2004

Tulsa, OK-based band THE AGONY SCENE have inked a deal with Roadrunner Records. The band, who are said to combine American metal influences (think PANTERA's "Far Beyond Driven") with European extreme metal overtones (i.e. IN FLAMES, THE HAUNTED, CRADLE OF FILTH),are best known for the dark imagery and sonics of 2003's Solid State Records self-titled release, produced by none other than KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's Adam Dutkiewicz.

Over the course of tours with DEMON HUNTER, AS I LAY DYING and BELOVED, as well the Van's Off The Wall Tour with AVENGED SEVENFOLD and the SUICIDE MACHINES, THE AGONY SCENE have developed a ferocious live reputation.

Look for THE AGONY SCENE to hit the studio this fall. The group's Roadrunner debut is tentatively slated for an early 2005 release.
