THE DEFACED: 'Almost Done' Recording New Album

February 6, 2006

THE DEFACED, the Swedish band featuring DARKANE/TERROR 2000 guitarist Klas Ideberg, have posted the following message on their official web site:

"We're almost done recording the vocals for the next THE DEFACED album. Jens [Broman; CONSTRUCDEAD, HATELIGHT] has been tracking vocals now for three weekends and he's really been working his ass off. He’s been pushing limits and Jesus Christmas, it sounds awesome! He brings so many new textures to the songs and his voice absolutely fits the songs like a prostitute in a brothel.

"The final vocal parts will be tracked this weekend. After that we'll schedule the mixing of the album as soon as possible, though it may take a little while longer than we expected. This is due to the fact that Klas will handle the mixing duties (like he recently did on DARKANE's and TERROR 2000's latest efforts) and since he's just become a first-time father, we'll schedule the mixing to fit his agenda. The main thing is that the result is going to be top notch. We don't want to rush anything (even though it's about fucking time we get this album out),we simply want to give you one hell of an album."

THE DEFACED's most recent album, "Karma In Black", was issued in 2003 via Italy's Scarlet Records.
