THE PANIC CHANNEL To Film 'Why Cry' Video Next Month

May 19, 2006

Former JANE'S ADDICTION guitarist Dave Navarro recently spoke to MTV.com about his new band THE PANIC CHANNEL, which also features other ex-JANE'S ADDICTION members Stephen Perkins (drums) and Chris Chaney (bass).

Regarding some old-school JANE'S fans' complaints that the new band doesn't sound anything like the old one, Navarro said, "We wanted to start over from scratch. If you think of any of the offshoots of JANE'S, none of them sounded like JANE'S ADDICTION. PORNO FOR PYROS, my solo record and my time with the [RED HOT] CHILI PEPPERS were all very different. It's just a natural process for us to want to do new things."

THE PANIC CHANNEL's first single, "Why Cry" (audio),just hit radio and the band's debut album, "(ONe)", comes out on September 12. THE PANIC CHANNEL will shoot a video for "Why Cry" in mid-June and are currently choosing a director. In the meantime, THE PANIC CHANNEL are introducing themselves with a national club tour that concludes on June 7 in Los Angeles.
