THIN LIZZY, SKID ROW Cancel Sturgis Appearances

August 9, 2006

According to RapidCityJournal.com, THIN LIZZY, SALIVA and SKID ROW have all cancelled their appearances this week at the Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis, South Dakota.

Monday's headliner, SALIVA, reportedly canceled because one of the band members became a father. Tuesday's headliner, SKID ROW, and THIN LIZZY (who were scheduled to headline tonight) also backed out, but no information was available Tuesday about why or when.

Full Throttle owner Michael Ballard could not be reached for comment Tuesday. Neither could spokesmen for SALIVA, SKID ROW or THIN LIZZY.

Sturgis motorcycle rallygoers seeking updated information didn't find it online. The Full Throttle's Web page still advertised SALIVA, SKID ROW and THIN LIZZY among the week's entertainment, although a daily schedule of events said Tuesday night's main act was "To Be Announced." On Tuesday, SKID ROW's Web site still listed the Full Throttle appearance on its list of tour dates.

Full Throttle's Web site continues to tout the week's remaining acts: JACKYL on Thursday, BIG GUN on Friday and DROWNING POOL on Saturday.
