VINNIE PAUL Interviewed At His 'Home Away From Home' In Las Vegas
June 24, 2010Rock N' Write of SugarBuzzMagazine.com recently conducted an interview with drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott (HELLYEAH, PANTERA, DAMAGEPLAN) at his house in Las Vegas, Nevada. You can watch the eight-minute chat below.
HELLYEAH keeps letting tracks out from its upcoming second album, "Stampede". Following "Cowboy Way" and "Hell Of A Time", the band is now streaming "Debt That All Men Pay" at Ultimate-Guitar.com. Abbott told The Pulse of Radio that recording the CD right in his home brought the band closer together. "We barbecued together, we drank together, we wrote songs together, we were together just about all the time, you know, so it really has that cohesive vibe of the brotherhood that we have within us, you know," he said. "We just had a lot of fun making the record. It's a very diverse record. It's as heavy as we've ever been on the heavy side and then it's, you know, even more countrified and melodic on the southern side of things that we do, you know. So it's got a great variety of music on there and I think it's something that a lot of people are gonna really enjoy."
"Stampede" arrives in stores on July 13. The band will offer "deluxe" and "super deluxe" editions of the album.
HELLYEAH will head out on the road in late August with DISTURBED and AVENGED SEVENFOLD as part of the Uproar Festival tour.
