VVEREVVOLF GREHV Signs To Relapse Records

November 5, 2007

Relapse Records has announced the signing of Omaha, Nebraska's VVEREVVOLF GREHV.

VVEREVVOLF GREHV (pronounced as "Werewolf Grave") is a one-man army of sound distortion and musical exploration. VVEREVVOLF GREHV is Dapose (known for his works with electronic outfit THE FAINT),his guitar, and a lone laptop. Dapose explains how VVEREVVOLF GREHV came together: "VVEREVVOLF GREHV started because of the bullying of our digital world pushing our minds to be tuned to more kinds of sounds and situations. People are forced to deal with so many fast paced changes, and I think my music is a reflection of the distortions that occur when trying to live and communicate in this environment. And I wanted to hear synthesizers and filters and electronic music beat up on metal music."

A longtime fan of metal music, Dapose and VVEREVVOLF GREHV find a welcome home on Relapse. "Metal has always been the most extreme form of music since its creation, and I've always felt a calm and a peace from it," says Dapose, "Something like the intensity of a Buddhist monk's chant, or the sounds one hears when riding a train, relentless repetition becomes meditative and allows a reflective process aiding our well being. Which to me is why many people in the metal world are among the nicest people you'll ever meet."

VVEREVVOLF GREHV recently completed work on its Relapse debut, entitled "Zombie Aesthetics". The CD is scheduled for a March 4 North American release (March 10 internationally). VVEREVVOLF GREHV audio samples are available at this location.
