May 26, 2011If there's one band that personifies rock, it's gotta be AEROSMITH. This week North American syndicated rock radio show "In The Studio" celebrates the 35th anniversary of AEROSMITH's "Rocks". Show producer/host Redbeard speaks to Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton and Joey Kramer about what life in AEROSMITH was like, the good, the bad and the ugly, when making the #175 album on Rolling Stone magazine's "Top 500 Albums Of All Time". Special guest Slash shares a true story of how AEROSMITH's "Rocks" changed his life.

"In The Studio" is a weekly hour-long interview-with-music "rockumentary" which looks at the making of many of the greatest albums recorded in rock and roll history, although sometimes it spotlights the history of rock and roll bands. Redbeard interviews the musicians who created these classic albums.
"Rocks", the fourth album by AEROSMITH, was released on May 3, 1976. Allmusic described the LP as having "captured AEROSMITH at their most raw and rocking."
"Rocks" was a commercial success, with three singles charting on the Billboard Hot 100, two of which reached the Top 40 ("Back in the Saddle" and "Last Child"). The album also was one of the first albums to ship platinum when it was released. The album has since gone quadruple platinum.
