Clubplanet Welcoming Rock/Metal Clubs

August 10, 2007

Online nightlife destination Clubplanet opens its doors this week to clubs a bit outside of what they are known for. Clubplanet has established itself as the destination for all things relating to the mainstream club scene and is now welcoming all rock and metal clubs. They offer weekly updates on what is happening in your region and "VIP" passes to select clubs every single night.

"Clubplanet's always been about bringing ourusers the best of nightlife, and rock is obviously now a big, big part of nightlife," said Jeff Wilser, editor-in-chief of Clubplanet.com.

Clubplanet is offering a special, one-week-only event. Users can sign up before August 15, 2007 and have a chance at winning one of seven brand new Washburn guitars.

Greg Tribbett, guitarist for MUDVAYNE and HELLYEAH, states, "I am really excited to be a part of bringing metal to Clubplanet! And what better way than to give away my axe of choice! And not just one Washburn, seven Washburns! HELLYEAH!"

In the coming months, Clubplanet will be launching a series of Planet X secret shows featuring performances by major bands at locations made available to only registered Clubplanet users.

Clubplanet is the number one searched nightlife resource online, featuring the largest nightlife community and most comprehensive listing of bars, lounges, and clubs in the United States. Through event listings, lifestyle features, photos, and video, Clubplanet connects users to the nightlife scene in their communities and around the world. Since 1995, Clubplanet has built up a membership base of 2+ million registered users and a comprehensive listing of over 50,000 clubs, bars, and lounges in over 55 U.S. markets. Clubplanet's proprietary content is distributed to select partner websites and content channels across several entertainment and lifestyle platforms. Through its content syndication, Clubplanet reaches a pool of over 100 million additional consumers.
